Horse Training

There is nothing like seeing a young horse go from unsure and unschooled to solid and steady. It is one of Lindsey’s favorite parts of her job. She has been training full time for 15 years and starting colts is her specialty.  She has started almost every discipline and breed. She also loves working with remedial horses and helping both horse and rider work through rough patches.

Being in the show pen is a big part of who we are at Treasure 2 Farm so we love showing our training horses for clients and coaching clients in the pen. We also know that the show pen is not for everyone, and our farm features miles of trails to take your training horse out and get them used to the trails.

Horses currently undergoing training are worked consistently at 5 days per week. Lindsey believes it does no good if she can ride the horse but the owner is unsure, so she highly recommends each owner take several lessons before heading home. She loves to put the time into seeing the relationship grow between horse and owner.

  • Many horses which Lindsey has trained have won blue ribbons and competed in everything from Local Saddle Clubs to World Shows.

  • Lindsey has ridden horses to Top 4 ARHA World Show Reining and has several ribbons in Top 10 ARHA World Show Ranch Riding.

  • Multiple horse have won 1st - 3rd in HUS and Ranch Riding at the State Show level.

  • Most importantly, Lindsey has trained lots of horses over the years who have become the best companions a horse owner could want. Blue ribbons are always a goal, but a good horse is the number one achievement of the Treasure to Farms Training Program.
